About Paola Lenti
Paola Lenti was born in 1958 in Alessandria, Piedmont. After studying at the Politecnico di Milano and working as an image coordinator and graphic designer for fashion houses, she founded her company in 1994 in Meda, the same Brianza town that houses Flexform, chosen specifically for its furniture-making heritage.
Her first products were rugs, and they announced immediately what would define everything that followed: an obsessive attention to materials, color, and textile construction. Paola Lenti is, at its core, a textile company that makes furniture.
Francesco Rota and the design partnership
In 1997, Paola Lenti partnered with designer Francesco Rota, beginning a collaboration that has continued for nearly three decades. Rota has designed many of the brand's most recognized pieces, translating Lenti's textile innovations into furniture forms: generous proportions, soft geometries, and structures that prioritize tactile experience.
Outdoor as an indoor language
In 2003, Paola Lenti launched its outdoor furniture collection, built on a premise that was radical at the time: outdoor furniture should look and feel like indoor furniture. The brand developed proprietary yarns and fabrics (UV-resistant, water-repellent, colorfast) that could withstand exterior conditions while maintaining the softness and color depth of interior textiles.
