Quasar

Quasar Holland is a Dutch lighting company founded by Teun van Gammeren, who launched the brand internationally in 1992 at Euroluce, the Milan lighting fair held within Salone del Mobile. The collection began with cast-metal lighting designs offered in raw aluminium, polished aluminium, and bronze finishes, each suited to a different setting from classic to contemporary. Quasar Holland describes itself as part of the creative avant-garde of the international decorative lighting market, with exports accounting for roughly 85 percent of its business, positioning it as a design-forward player well beyond its home market.

The collection has been developed with contributions from numerous Dutch and international designers, and the brand also offers bespoke, project-specific lighting tailored to individual commissions. Quasar Holland remains family-run, now led by Teun van Gammeren’s sons, Arjen and John, from the company’s headquarters in Giessen, in the Netherlands.
