The philosophy is stated simply on the brand’s own terms: “the starting point is never the lamp. It is always the light.” The pieces are built around simplicity, lightness, emotion, and amazement, and they aim to make light something felt rather than seen.
The results are startling. Nulla is a recessed LED spotlight just 18 millimeters across that won the Compasso d’Oro ADI Award in 2014. Sampei, a floor lamp designed with Enzo Calabrese, arcs from 2.3 to 4.4 meters on a stem thin as a reed and also won a 2014 Compasso d’Oro.
